
My Work
As a Product and Offering Manager my tasks cover the whole lifecycle of the product from the business case creation in the first phase, through the prototyping and development, until the retirement in the last phase. In my work I focus on the following fields of the product management.

Product Design
The creation of a good, functional design is the part of my job. To reach this goal, I often work with technical experts (cloud and network architects, engineers, software developers) on a solution design. We always focus on the customer needs and try to build up a solution which fulfills all the requirements, using the design thinking mindset, agile methods and tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Planner) for the efficient collaboration.
Managing a team of customer-centric, solution-oriented experts is the key to the success.
I have been working on SaaS (Software-as-Service) offerings, which are very complex ones in terms of the technical design. The solution includes multiple cloud, network, software components. So it is often required to
- coordinate between multiple technical teams by the creation of the design,
- have a high level overview about the complete architecture and
- document the final solution.


Product Delivery
The delivery processes are important part of a product, they can guarantee the smooth operation of an offering. The orchestration of the different tasks into a process framework is part of the product and service management. In my work I build up processes using the ITIL framework, which covers all aspects of the IT Service.
By the establishment of the process framework for the different offerings, I involve more experts from the operational, quality and service management teams to find the best way for the provisioning of a product or service. The creation of the different process flows, definition of the roles and responsibilities of the involved participants are part of the job.


Product Development
As a Product Manager, I am responsible for the product vision and as a part of it, for the definition of the product roadmap. By the development process, the prioritization of the different roadmap items, based on the customers’ needs, feedbacks, technical requirements or based on the market trends, is part of my work. To define the priority of the roadmap items, next to the requirements, I also check the cost and duration of the development process of the new feature.
By the SaaS solutions the management of the software development activities is part of my work. With the help of the wireframing tools, the complete functionality and user interface of the webapplications can be planned, so I like to use these tools by the prototyping. With the usage of the Agile and Scrum methodology and tools (Kanban, Miro boards), the team work with the developers, technical consultants is efficient and transparent.


Product Marketing
The product marketing is the most creative part of my work: from the definition of the marketing strategy according to the product vision, through the creation of the GoToMarket Package, until the organization of the different events. To define the marketing strategy, I often use different analysis:
- SWOT – helps to create an overview about the product attributes
- Market Research/Benchmarking – helps by the positioning of the product and by the definition of the target market
- Competitor Analysis – helps to get more information about the challenges on the market
The creation of the GTM Package (Webpage, One Pager, Pricelist, Service Description, Sales Presentation, Pitch Video…etc) is a team work with different experts but I am also familiar with some of the tools (WordPress, Squarespace, Adobe Products, MS Products, Canva…etc), which are used by the work. To calculate the best price for the product or service is always the most important step and depending on the requirements two methods are used: top-down or bottom-up calculation. The organization of marketing events is part of my work as well and provides a good opportunity to reach more target groups/customers.
My goal is to provide the best marketing materials to the sales team, which help to increase the selling of the product or service.
